DESCRIPTION
This document will guide the user through inspection and or replacement of the hood mounted mirror glass.

REPAIR STEP(s)
Inspect the condition of the mirror assembly. If the mirror is missing, the complete assembly will need to be replaced. If the
mirror is loose inside the housing, verify that the mirror lock/ release lever is in the lock position (see Mirror Lock/Release
Inspection Procedure below). If the mirror is still loose, even though locked properly, the complete assembly will need to be
replaced. Order the correct replacement mirror and install as outlined below.
Note: If an replacement mirror is needed, the mirror housing on new mirrors won't be serviceable. New replacement mirrors
have the mirror housing glued to the arm.

Mirror Lock/Release lever Inspection Procedure
1.The Mirror lock/release lever, actuates the mechanism to fully lock the mirror housing to the mirror assembly. To lock the
mirror, slide the lock/release lever (Figure #1 Item 2) fully over to lock the mirror in place.
NOTE: When properly seated and locked in place, you should hear or feel two clicks as you slide the locking mechanism
over.
2.With the mirror installed in the housing, you can access the locking lever through the bottom of the mirror by tilting the top of
the mirror inward (Figure #2).

Complete Mirror Replacement Procedure
1. To replace complete assembly, remove 4 fasteners (Figure 2, item 1).

2. Remove complete mirror assembly from vehicle
3. Reinstall new mirror and torque fasteners to 9-12 ft-lb (12.2 - 16.2 Nm)
