BLUE BIRD Actuator Improvements

Models affected: 2015 thru 2017 All American and TX4 with Electric Entrance Door

There is a new kit available from Part sales; 10045705 - Kit, Actuator, Entrance Door, Electric,
Service Only T3. This kit is available for use with the T3 electric entrance doors with the
following symptoms:

Door lever contacting front post

Doors will not adjust to 90 degrees opening
Doors will not adjust to seal, when closed
Limit switches do not activate/deactivate

The kit will include the following;

Gear plate assembly

Front door lever

Associated fasteners

Loctite

Installation/adjustment instructions

In the event actuator assembly 10019457 needs replacement, due to motor failure, broken teeth,
etc., there is a new assembly available from Parts Sales, /0045692 — Kit, Actuator, Entrance
Door, Electric T3. This assembly supersedes 10019457 on the T3 only. In the event 10045692 is
installed as a replacement to 10019457, you must also install 10045436 — Front Lever Assy, using
new capscrew 00801910 and Loctite 10047406

Remove and discard existing door lever and capscrew
Remove existing actuator kit and set aside (retain if warrantable defect)
Install 10045692, Kit Actuator, Entrance Door, Electric T3

Apply Loctite 10047406 around entire circumference of lower three to five threads of cap
screw 00801910

Install front lever assembly 10045436 using capscrew 00801910 and tighten to 30 ft/lbs.

NOTE: 10019457 will remain available for the BBCV product

Refer to the procedure on page 2 to adjust the limit switches on new actuator kit 10045692.

TERMINOLOGY

Step A1. With the doors in the CLOSED
position, adjust the gear so that the right limit
switch is triggered. Tighten down with a phillips
screwdriver.

Step A2. Adjust the doors until they are 90°, or
fully OPEN, Then move the limit switch
so that it’s being triggered in that
position. Tighten down with a phillips
screw driver.

Note: Tho |imit switch is triggored when the
arm fs depressed and a clicking sound Is
