Description of Revisions: This bulletin replaces the version dated
May 2013. The reference to Eaton has been removed.

General Information
On some vehicles equipped with the ICU4M instrument panel and the VORAD system with an integrated ICU
display, the driver message center may not display any VORAD information, even though VORAD is
functioning. This is because the ICU4M is not recognizing the VORAD system, due to either software coding
sequences during production, or an aftermarket installation of the VORAD option. In addition, fault codes are
being displayed on some vehicles that do not have the VORAD system installed, leading to invalid warranty
claims.
Both problems can be remedied by resetting the parameters on the ICU4M so it identifies whether or not the
vehicle is equipped with the VORAD system. Use the instructions in this bulletin to reset the parameters.

Procedure, Century Class Conventional, Argosy, Columbia, and
Coronado
1. Park the vehicle, shut down the engine, apply the parking brakes, and chock the tires.
2. Turn on the ignition key. After a few seconds, the message center will display "FASTEN SEATBELTS" and
the odometer reading.

IMPORTANT: If any active fault codes are displayed, you must resolve them before proceeding.
3. Find the right-arrow button on the 10-key keypad, on the "B" dash panel. See Fig. 1. Press the right-arrow
button once to display "TRIP INFORMATION".
4. Press the down-arrow (scroll) button repeatedly until "SETUP INFORMATION" is displayed on the driver
message center.
5. Press the right-arrow button once. "PUSH SET KEY TO CHANGE SERVICE" will be displayed.
6. Repeatedly press the down-arrow (scroll) button until you reach "PUSH SET KEY TO CHANGE
PARAMETERS".
7. Press the "SET/RESET" button on the keypad once. "YES" and "NO" are displayed, with "NO" flashing.
8. Turn on the cruise control, using the "SPD CNTL" switch.
9. Press the left-arrow button once to make "YES" flash.

IMPORTANT: The following step is time critical, as some engine models require pushing the downarrow button within one second of pressing the cruise control "RES/ACC" (resume) button. Note that
you should not press the two buttons simultaneously.
10. Hold the cruise control "RES/ACC" switch in the "RES" (resume) position, then immediately press the downarrow (scroll) button.
11. The display will show "VEHICLE INFORMATION".
12. Wait at least five seconds for the ICU4M to recognize all the vehicle options, then turn off the ignition.
13. Remove the chocks.

5. Press the minus button on the steering wheel until the display shows "PUSH → TO CHANGE
PARAMETERS".
6. Press the right-arrow on the "My Info" button on the dash auxiliary panel and the display shows "RESET
PARAMETERS" with "NO" flashing.
7. Press the cruise control on/off button and the indicator will illuminate.
8. Press the plus key on the steering wheel so the "YES" is flashing.

IMPORTANT: The following step is time critical, as some engine models require pushing the downarrow button within one second of pressing the cruise control "RES/ACC" (resume) button. Note that
you should not press the two buttons simultaneously.
9. Press and hold the "RESUME ACC" button on the steering wheel, and press the right-arrow on the "My
Info" button on the dash auxiliary panel. "VEHICLE INFORMATION" is displayed.
10. Wait at least five seconds for the ICU4M to recognize all the vehicle options, then turn off the ignition.
11. Remove the chocks.
