Release of DiagnosticLink® 8.07

SUBJECT DETAIL
On Wednesday, December 6, 2017, DiagnosticLink® 8.07 Standard and Professional will
be available for download from the ordering system. Current subscribers of
DiagnosticLink® 8.xx can upgrade to DiagnosticLink® 8.07 at no cost. All DTNA service
shops are required to maintain the latest version of software on each of their stations.
This release will support the following new features and updates:
•

Support for GHG17 Heavy Duty (HD) production software release:
o MCM21T – M6.6.0.1
o ACM21T – E7.58.2.0
o CPC04T – R40.00_000a (except New Cascadia® vehicles)
o TCM01T – NAMT130600

•

Support for GHG17 Medium Duty (MD) production software release:
o MCM21T – M12.1.2.3
o ACM21T – E13.52.4.0
o CPC04T – R40_00_000a

Support for New Cascadia® software release:
o CPC302T – 29.23.00

•

Parameter warning for idle/inactive shutdown disable on New Cascadia®
CPC302T:
o A pop-up notification will display whenever the value for idle or inactive
shutdown is changed to “disabled”. The notification will inform the user
to check the settings for the idle shutdown:
 If idle shutdown is enabled, inactive shutdown is enabled.
 If idle shutdown is disabled, inactive shutdown is disabled.
 Penske vehicles only – inactive shutdown is always disabled.

•

Includes basic support for the ECONIC Vehicle:
o Supports fault code reading and instrumentation display
o Connects to 12 new controllers and displays identification information

the engine related controller.

Includes BHM read only features and configuration for DiagnosticLink®
Standard users.

Includes BHM circuit and feature panels with the ability to view 'Newest"
settings.

Tool displays warning when specific tablets that do not meet the minimum
specifications (e.g. Nextbook 11).

•

Added support for multiple latest settings and settings content from
FOTA/POTA such as a simple description to the settings list.

•

Color has been added to the Next button to highlight the proper action in the
advanced diagnostics troubleshooting.

•

New SSAM02T starter relay, crank protection panel added.

•

New ALM (Active Lube Management) panel added.

•

The tool now allows the log file play back control without exiting the modal
dialog opened from the Action menu.

•

Includes support to check the CTP (TDC) activation status.

•

Improved log file management by reducing/optimizing the size of log files.

•

New Cascadia® CPC302T parameter access level changes implemented:
o “Optimized Idle Run time Low Battery” changed from level 1 to level 2
o “Legal Vehicle Road Speed limit” changed from level 3 to level 1
o “Rear Axle Ratio 1 of 2” and “Rear Axle Ratio 2 of 2” made as level 1

Min(2Km/hr.) and Max(24.14 km/hr.) ranges are updated

(Disable)”.

o Added limp home mode functionality for MD (Medium Duty) FSIC panel
o Idle speed setting updates for MD (Medium Duty) for cylinder cutout
manual panel.
o Mechanical compression test is made available for HDEP ECUS and
added in improvements for precondition checks and the display of
results for the routine
o Updates to the idle speed balance test to enhance the precondition
checks for running the test.

•

Updates or enhancements to Advanced Diagnostics:
o Added support to view ADR TS report. Allow use of Report Viewer
application without a need to install DiagnosticLink®.
o Display the Integrated Diagnostic time for the steps in the Advanced
Diagnostics.
o Provide visual indication when the Next button is enabled for Advanced
Diagnostics Troubleshooting.

UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: You must have a current DiagnosticLink® subscription in order to upgrade to
version 8.07 at no cost.
1. Disconnect any interface devices from the computer USB port such as the Nexiq USBLink cable.
2. Uninstall previous version of DiagnosticLink®, such as version 8.05 or 8.06 from Windows
Control Panel Programs.
3. Login to https://diagnosticlink.nexiq.com.
4. Click My Account and My Downloads.
5. Click on the download DiagnosticLink 8.07 button.
6. Save the install package file to desktop.
7. Double click install package file (zip file).
8. Open the DL8.07 folder. Right click Setup.exe and select Run as
administrator. Follow setup guide to complete the installation.
