1. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the “OFF” position.
2. Open the engine compartment door.1
3. Locate the old filter mounted on top of the air compressor. Figure 1.

4. Remove and discard the wing nut and paper filter and top hat. Figure 2.

5. The old filter base is threaded into the top of the intake tube. Grasp to loosen or use a spanner wrench and remove
and discard the old filter base.
6. Apply sealant NF 8110442 to the NPT threads of the new filter. Do not apply to the last 2 threads to avoid sealant
from entering the intake path.
7. Using the body of the filter assembly, hand tighten the assembly to the intake tube.
8. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the “ON” position.
