Procedure for opening the fuel door of Huracán and Aventador vehicles manually in case of
emergency.
Description of required procedures
Lamborghini dealers are informed that the emergency opening procedure of the petrol
window described in the owner's manual supplied with the cars is incomplete.
This procedure must be carried out in case of failure of the fuel flap actuator and the
procedure described in the maintenance manual does not exert a slight pressure on the flap
while pulling the opening strap located in the engine bay. Perform the manoeuvre described
in the manual precisely and not only will fail to produce the desired effect, but the opening
cord may also be torn off if the pressure is excessive.
Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. wishes to supplement the operations described in the
handbook by providing the following complete procedure:

WARNING!
Wait for the engine to cool down completely before opening the hood. You may be
seriously burned!

Open the engine hood;

Locate the ring situated on the right side of the engine compartment;

While continuing to pull the ring, press on the fuel tank cap as shown in Figure 4
and 5;

Open the fuel door completely;

When pulling the opening ring, be especially careful not to break the attached cord.
