General Information
Cadex battery testers recently distributed to the field cannot print tester data without using a code that is specifically assigned to each tester. Use the instructions in this bulletin to locate the code.
Instructions
1. Park the vehicle, shut down the engine, and apply the brakes. Chock the tires.
2. Go to http://www.cadex.com/en and click on Subscriptions.
3. Download the software. The password is "capacity". See Fig. 1.
4. Connect the Cadex battery tester to a computer using the supplied serial-to-USB cable. Open the software
and click on Communication Port, which is located on the upper left-hand side of the web page. Select the
USB Serial Port. See Fig. 2.

5. Select the folder where the file will be saved. See Fig. 3.
6. Click Get Results.
7. Once the results show up on the screen, click Open to find the file. See Fig. 4.
8. Find the folder where the file is saved and open the file. See Fig. 5.
9. Once the Excel file is open, scroll to the bottom of the last column to locate the code for the battery. See
Fig. 6.
