SYMPTOM
The vehicle may have one or more of the following software bugs:
• You cannot make or receive HFL calls using the steering wheel switches
• You cannot make or receive HFL calls using the audio-navigation unit
• The message “now loading…Please Wait” appears on the phone screen

REPAIR PROCEDURE
• Apply this software update only to the vehicles listed under AFFECTED VEHICLES, otherwise this software update
can permanently damage the unit.
• If you accidentally update the wrong vehicle, contact Tech Line; if the audio-navigation or audio unit must be
replaced, your dealership may be debited for the replacement cost.
1. Connect a battery charger or a fully charged jumper battery to the vehicle and leave it connected during the entire
update procedure to maintain a steady voltage.
2. Press the engine START/STOP button to select the vehicle ON mode.
3. Press OK on the Confirmation screen, then make sure you are on a map screen.

4. Connect the USB update device to the USB cable in the center console above the glove box.
NOTE: Once you connect the USB update device, do not remove it until the LED blinks.

5. The navigation system will automatically begin after about 12 seconds. There is a blank screen followed by a
Notification screen loading bar.

6. When the audio-navigation unit has transferred the update from the USB update device, about 1 minute, the
indicated red LED blinks. Remove the USB update device.
NOTE:
• Make sure you remove the USB update device as soon as the LED starts blinking. If you do not remove it and
the system reboots, you will need to leave the USB plugged in and update the vehicle again.
• The navigation system takes about 3 minutes to finish the update after the USB update device is removed.
7. After the USB update device is removed, the navigation system will continue updating. When it is finished, the
system will reboot, and the Anti-Theft System screen appears.

8. Press and hold the VOL PUSH button until you hear a beep.
9. Press and hold the MAP, DESTINATION, and CANCEL buttons until the Select Diagnosis Items screen appears.

10. Select Detail Information & Setting.
11. Select Version.
12. Verify that the software was updated to the new version as shown below. If the software is not updated, turn the
vehicle to the OFF mode, and go back to step 2 and repeat the update procedure.
