SUBJECT: FL640 – Phase 2 to Begin
This letter is to inform you that the second phase of Recall FL640, FCCC MTG45/55 Gasoline Fuel Tanks,
begins on 02/26/14. Affected owners will be notified the week of 03/03/14. There are no changes to the
final Recall bulletin on AccessFreightliner.com posted on 12/11/13.

FL640D will begin on 02/26/14. Work with a repair date of 02/26/14 or later must be
claimed under the final recall, FL640D.
IMPORTANT: All vehicles in INT FL640 but not in FL640A or FL640D should continue to have a fuel tank
replaced only if the original fuel tank is leaking. Submit interim recall claims for these vehicles.
There will be further groups FL640B and FL640C released together or separately depending on the
availability of fuel tanks.
IMPORTANT: All vehicles in the final recall FL640 require a fuel tank replacement, even those that had an
interim replacement.
