Concern:

The SOURCE selection for SiriusXM (SAT) is missing in PCM 3.1 units equipped with SiriusXM

Information:

If the SOURCE selection for SiriusXM (SAT) is missing, discuss the following with the driver:
1. Is SiriusXM (SAT) the only SOURCE missing?
2. Is SiriusXM (SAT) currently missing?

Technical Information: If only SiriusXM (SAT) is affected and is currently missing, perform the following steps:
1. Fault codes: Diagnose any XM antenna faults prior to proceeding
2. Options: Verify the vehicle is equipped with SiriusXM via PPN >> PIWIS >> Vehicle Information
3. Hardware: Verify the installed PCM has SiriusXM hardware by inspecting the PCM part label for the
SiriusXM logo
4. Coding: Verify that SiriusXM is “Enabled” in the VAL
Examples:
- Functional state: Satellite radio -- enabled Yes
or
- Digital-Radio-Tuner (SDARS): Enabled Yes
Note: Actual VAL information may be presented differently depending on PIWIS software
version, vehicle type, and PCM software versions.
5. If the vehicle options, hardware, and coding are all correct and the Source selection for SiriusXM
(SAT) is missing, the PCM requires replacement.

If other Sources (e.g. FM, AM, etc) are missing or the issue cannot be duplicated, contact Technical
Support via PTEC-TLAR.
Customer Information:

If the PCM required replacement:
- Inform the customer that the PCM has an internal issue and requires replacement.
If the PCM does not require replacement:
- Inform the customer that the technician is further investigating this issue with assistance
from PCNA Technical Support.
