SUBJECT/CONCERN:

Air Suspension Compressor Solenoid Valve Fails To Vent

CONDITION SUMMARY:

SITUATION:

The air suspension may not raise/lower with a warning message displayed on the
Instrument Cluster (IC). Upon further investigation, Diagnostic Trouble Code
(DTC) C1A13-54 may be stored.

CAUSE:

This may be caused when the air suspension compressor has failed to vent in the

allotted time due to a faulty solenoid valve.

ACTION:

Should a Customer express this concern, follow the Service Instruction below.

Normal Warranty procedures apply.

CAUTIONS:

= A Jaguar Land Rover-approved Midtronics battery power supply must be
connected to the vehicle battery during diagnosis / module

programming.

= All ignition ON/OFF requests must be carried out. Failure to perform

these steps may cause damage to contro! modules in the vehicle.

NOTE:

The Jaguar Land Rover-approved diagnostic tool must be loaded with
DVD150.00 and Calibration File 271 (or later).

1 Connect the Jaguar Land Rover-approved Midtronics battery power

supply to the vehicle battery.

2 Switch the ignition ON (engine not running).

= Connect the Jaguar Land Rover-approved diagnostic tool to the vehicle

and begin a new session.

« Follow the on-screen prompts, allowing the diagnostic tool to read the

VIN, identify the vehicle, and initiating the data collect sequence.

s Read the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
= If DTC C1A13-64 is not stored, go to Step 10.

= Any other stored DTC should be investigated before

releasing the vehicle.

= If DTC C1A13-64 is stored, go to Step 6.

Ss Clear all stored DTCs.

CAUTION:

Before disconnecting or removing components, make sure the

area around the joint faces and connections are clean. Plug open

connections to prevent contamination.

NOTE:

Removal steps in the procedure may contain installation details.

Install a replacement air suspension compressor solenoid valve (see
TOPIx Workshop Manual section 204-05: Vehicle Dynamic Suspension -

Air Suspension Compressor Solenoid Valve).

s Cycle the air suspension 2 times from the maximum height setting to the

minimum height setting to confirm that the repair has been successful.

= If a warning is not displayed on the Instrument Cluster, go to
Step 10.
= If a warning is displayed on the Instrument Cluster, go to

Step 9.

s Read the DTCs.

= If DTC C1A13-64 is not stored, go to Step 10.
