electrical connections.

DANGER
Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop engine. Prior to working on the vehicle, set the ignition
switch to the OFF position and trip the main circuit breakers equipped with a trip button. On Commuter
type vehicles, set the battery master switch (master cut-out) to the OFF position.
The following procedure will disable both the curb side/street side windshield upper defroster grid
electronic circuits.
Disconnect wires 24-5A-14 and 24-5B-14 from Module A46 to render the circuits completely
inoperative.

1. Locate module A46 in the front electrical center and disconnect the J-3, J-2 & J-1 connectors in
that order.

4. Cut the terminal ends off of both
wires 24-5A-14 and 24-5B-14.

5. Tape the wire ends individually.
Then tape both wires back to the
harness with electrical tape.
Reconnect connectors J-1, J-2
and J-3 to module A46 in that
order.
