Fig 1: Confirm power is connected to the RV and ON.
Open the front storage compartment on the DOOR SIDE of trailer.
Fig 2: Turn the interior compartment light ON. To test for correct wiring, turn the battery disconnect switch off.
If wired properly the compartment light should go out. If not, prodceed to the instructions below.

Before starting the repair: DISCONNECT POWER
Fig 3 & 4 Remove the battery disconnect panel to access wiring.

Remove
nuts from
the
terminals

Swap these
two wires

Fig 5: Remove two wire nuts.
Fig 6: There is a single wire 6ga on one terminal, and 4 wires on the other terminal.
Swap the TOP wire on the group of 4, with the single wire on the other terminal. (both are 6ga wires).

Re-install the two nuts.
Replace the panel.
Re-connect the power and test the switch, refer to Fig. 2.

Dear Valued Jayco Dealer:
Jayco has determined that certain Model Year 2017 Eagle Fifth Wheels and Eagle Travel
Trailers require correction to the wiring of the battery disconnect switch. Due to the incorrect
wiring, the interior lights may not turn off with the disconnect switch when the trailer is powered
by the 12 volt battery.
Our records indicate the following unit is currently part of your inventory and requires the
bulletin repair prior to being sold.
Serial number

If you have sold this affected vehicle, please contact the current owner regarding this Service
Bulletin and process the Warranty Registration. All pertinent information regarding this Bulletin
is on file under the Service and Parts Tab of Jayco Partners. If you have questions regarding this
