Apple devices with the new 8-pin plug will not play videos using the Audi Music Interface.

Technical Background
The current Apple devices (e.g. iPhone 5, iPod
Nano, new iPod Touch, etc.) have a new plug
assignment: the 30-pin plug has been replaced
with an 8-pin plug (Figure 1).
The old plug used an analog video transmission,
whereas the new plug uses a digital video
transmission that is not supported by the Audi
Music Interface.

Please inform the customer that the Audi Music Interface does not support videos on Apple devices with the 8-pin
plug.
