The new Model Year 2015 Audi A3 Sedans are arriving at dealerships in anticipation of the
official launch. The In-Car Technology Tutorial DVDs for the A3 Sedan were mailed last week
and are also arriving at dealerships.
In the coming weeks, the importance of the A3 Sedan Initial Quality, creating a perfect
delivery experience for every customer, will be magnified. We encourage you to install the
tutorials on the MMI system with Navigation of each A3 Sedan as soon as possible. Viewing
the various tutorials will promote understanding of “difficult to use” technology systems. In
conjunction, specific technologies can be demonstrated to customers during the perfect

delivery experience.
Included with this communication is the DVD advisement letter from Jamie Dennis, Director
Audi Product Quality & Technical Service, along with installation instructions. Please review
them and share with those at your dealership who may have a hand in providing a perfect
hand-over experience to our customers.
Please note: These DVDs should not be provided to customers; however in case of loss or
damage additional DVDs can be ordered from the IQS portal.

Enclosed in this kit you will find five In-Car Technology Tutorial DVDs for the model year 2015 A3,
along with installation instructions. These DVDs contain explanations for operating various
features on the A3. Once installed, these instructional videos will reside within the MMI system
and be accessible by the owner at any time from the vehicle (while stationary). The DVDs should
not be provided to customers.
The data contained on these DVDs must be loaded on to the vehicle’s MMI system. Please see
Instructions for loading the data also included in this kit. Please note that the process for loading
requires selecting “Owner’s Manual” in the MMI system. However, although this process will NOT
load an Owner’s Manual, it will provide owners with a wealth of feature operation information in
the form of how-to videos.

The inclusion of these In-Car Technology Tutorials will help improve customer loyalty and
satisfaction with their Audi model by providing easily accessible instructions from their MMI.
This is also a convenient way for your Brand Specialists to demonstrate the operation of vehicle
features during a sales or delivery presentation, and provide added value to a new owner.

Instructions for Installing Audi MY2015 A3 DVD: In Car Technology Tutorials
1. Ignition should be in accessory mode.
2. Insert DVD into CD/DVD slot.
3. Press the MENU function button.
4. Select “Car” from the Menu.

5. Select “Service Wallet” using the upper
right control button.

6. When Prompt appears, Select “Yes” for
installation to begin.

7. Select the CD/DVD as the source.

8. Verify the version number is correct and
select Start Update.

Note: This installation DVD can only be used on A3
vehicles with MMI Navigation plus

9. Other MMI Menus can be accessed
during the installation process.

The progress of the installation can be seen with
the progress bar on the lower left side of the
display.

10. When the installation is complete,
Select OK to exit.

11. REMOVE DVD from Drive
12. Test a video from the Onboard to ensure
the system is functioning properly.
a. Press MENU Function button.
b. Select CAR from the menu.
c. Select Service Wallet.
d. Select Continue after the
disclaimer.

Choose a video from the Onboard Manual menu
or from a submenu to play.
