which has not been completely removed by normal braking, or surface rust built up
during transportation.
Note: This Technical Bulletin only applies once at PDI. Please note that vehicles in

Install a vacuum gauge on the dipstick tube and check crankcase vacuum at idle.
Compare to a known good vehicle. If the vacuum reading is lower than the
comparison vehicle, visually inspect for oil leaks between the engine and the
transmission. Smoke test the crankcase by connecting the EVAP smoke machine to
the dipstick tube and inspect for leaks at the rear main seal (this will limit pressure
to 2 PSI). DO NOT apply shop air to the dipstick tube or the crankcase. If a rear
main seal leak is identified, replace the seal.
64-14-02 Heated Rear Window, One or More Lines Inoperative

To detect which line(s) is inoperative, utilize a volt meter to check for 0 V, which will
be present after the open in the grid line. The check must be performed with the
engine running and heated rear window switched on. Switch OFF the ignition and
visually locate the damage. Proceed with checking any other lines as necessary.
Once the damaged line is identified, repair utilizing the Repair kit by Permatex®
ITEM 09117.
TT 90-14-01 Oil Temperature Gauge Operation

Be aware that the oil temperature gauge (if equipped) will not begin reading until
oil temperature reaches approximately 120°F. Additionally, the gauge may appear
to fluctuate or drop to 120° during engine warm up in the first 30 minutes of
driving. The Oil Temperature display in the MFI may also sporadically show “---°F“
during this warm up period. No repairs are recommended if operation is as
described above.
