Condition
• The low coolant level light is illuminated.
• The coolant level is too low.
• A black crust is visible on the turbocharger coolant lines.

Technical Background
There may be slow coolant loss from the
connections of the coolant feed pipe and
coolant return pipe. High temperatures cause
the coolant to become encrusted on the
connection flange of the turbocharger (Figure
1).

Service
1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Following the instructions in Elsa, replace the coolant feed pipes and coolant return pipes for both cylinder
banks.
3. Replace the oil feed pipe o-rings.
4. Tighten the coolant line and oil line hold-down bolts to 9nm.
5. Fill and bleed the cooling system.
Note:
Use only distilled water for mixing coolant; refer to Elsa for proper mixing instructions.
