Wear of the camshaft bearing bridge can cause axial movement of the camshaft resulting in faults stored.

Procedure:
Inspect the camshaft bearing bridge and replace if necessary.

Camshaft Bearing Bridge Inspection
 Remove the camshaft bearing bridge according to the repair manual. Check the bearing bridge (camshaft
side) for damage (groove in bearing surface or lip protruding from bearing surface as shown in figure 1).
Note:
If the camshaft bearing bridge is not damaged this bulletin does not apply, reassemble engine and diagnose the
fault entries using Guided Fault Finding.

 If the bridge is damaged as indicated in (Figure 1), replace according to the repair manual.
 Change engine oil and oil filter.
