Based on engine operating conditions, some Routan vehicles may display the
“change oil” indicator message more frequently than the every 6,000 miles
(MY2009-2010), 8,000 miles (MY2011-2012) and 10,000 miles (MY2013-2014)
scheduled maintenance intervals. In some instances, the “change oil” indicator may
illuminate as early as 2,500 miles (MY2009-2010) or 3,500 miles (MY 2011-

2014) from the vehicle in-service date or from the last oil change.
Note:
MY 2009-2010 with the 3.8L CGUA engine are not applicable. These vehicles
have corrected software (Update 17D4/Y7) that prevents oil change indicator
illumination before 5500 miles.
Note:
MY 2013–2014 Routan are excluded from the Carefree Maintenance program.

The issue is caused by the outside influence of non-approved formulated washer
fluids. Non-approved washer fluids leave a clear film coating on the sensor probes,
insulating the probes so they cannot read the fluid level.

15-12-03 MIL ON, Fault P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, and/or
P0306 Stored In PCM

When diagnosing faults P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, and/or
P0306 for cylinder misfires, perform a Cylinder Combustion Pressure Leakage Test
before replacing any components.
Test procedure can be found in Elsa Repair Manual under Diagnostic Information –
Non-DTC Based>Non-DTC Based Diagnostics>00 General, Technical

data>Engine Mechanical, Fuel Injection and Ignition.
If it becomes necessary to open a Technical Helpline VTA case, have results of
pressure leakage test available when calling.
Additionally, obtain information on customer drive cycles (city/highway, towing) and
what type of fuel the customer is using (Gas or E85).
Replacement cylinder heads do not come equipped with oil galley plugs.
Technicians will need to swap galley plugs from original cylinder head to the service
replacement. See Tech Tip 15-12-01 for more information. Be aware that
replacement oil galley plugs can also be ordered in a separate kit, part number
7B0198057.
24-13-03 Engine Control Module Fault P130A “Hide Cylinder”

DTC P130A “Hide Cylinder” indicates that excessive misfiring has occurred. As a
result, the ECM has turned off a fuel injector to prevent catalyst damage. To
address this fault, diagnose and repair all misfire concerns that are present.
Repairing the other faults will resolve the P130A.
26-14-01 Ad Blue® Reset Procedure

To reset the Ad Blue level light after the tank has been filled:
Go to Guided Fault Finding:
From the control module list view: Right click on the ECM.
Select Guided Functions > SCR system functions > Ad Blue level to full"
If the light is still present after the reset procedure:
1. ECM control module OBD
2. DTC memory
3. Erase DTC all OBD system (even if there are no faults)
4. Cycle the key off and on

5. Light in the cluster should go off
6. If the light still does not go off, then follow the procedures in GFF.
If light still will not reset, remove fuse S17 from ECM cowling panel and start engine
to set system faults.
Reinstall fuse, clear codes, start engine and verify light has reset.
