Condition
The customer may report hearing a high-pitched squeal or squeak from the brake system during light brake
application. Some complaints may be under specific conditions such as:
• During colder weather.
• When backing out of a parking spot/garage in the morning.
This Repair Authorization only applies to the following models and model years (starting with specific production
dates):

Improved front brake pads introduced in production starting with the following VINs:

Service
Audi of America is requesting your cooperation in supplying us with technical information regarding this condition.
1. Verify the condition.
2. Attach the following to the TAC ticket:
a. Sound recording or, if possible, a video of the vehicle as it slows down while producing brake noise
b. Photos of the front and rear brake discs
c. Completed Brake Noise Questionnaire
If the vehicle is within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, contact a TAC consultant before proceeding.
