If applicable, apply felt tape to repair front door finisher squeak noise. See page 2.
If applicable, apply felt tape to repair front door handle noise. See page 4.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Repair Front Door Finisher Squeak Noise
Perform the following procedure ONLY if applicable (see page 1).

1. Remove the front door finisher.


Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), section INT-Interior, for removal
instructions.

2. Cut 4 strips of felt tape (part # J-503975-5) to the following lengths:


1 piece to 130 mm.



1 piece to 120 mm.



1 piece to 50 mm.



1 piece to 30 mm.

NOTE:
 Felt tape can be found in Squeak and Rattle Kit J-50397.
 4 strips of felt tape will be required per front door finisher.

3. Apply felt tape to the areas indicated in Figure 2 on page 3.

4. Reinstall the front door finisher.


Refer to the ESM, section INT-Interior, for installation instructions.

5. Confirm the squeak noise is no longer occurring.

Repair Front Door Handle Rattle Noise
Perform the following procedure ONLY if applicable (see page 1).

1. Remove the front door finisher.


Refer to the ESM, section INT-Interior, for removal and reinstallation instructions.

2. Cut 4 strips of felt tape (part # J-503975-5) to 25 mm.
NOTE:
 Felt tape can be found in Squeak and Rattle Kit J-50397.
 4 pieces of felt tape will be required per front door.

3. Apply 2 piece of felt tape, side by side, to the outside door handle cable in the 2
locations where it contacts the harness. See the areas indicated in Figure 3.

4. Reinstall the front door finisher.


Refer to the ESM, section INT-Interior, for installation instructions.

5. Confirm the rattle noise is no longer occurring.
