DESCRIPTION
This information letter applies only to vehicles equipped with 19000 lb Independent Front
Suspension (IFS) and 22.5 x 10.5 Alcoa aluminum wheels for 365/70 R 22.5 size tires.
When balancing this wheel for installation on the IFS, a specific type and size of clamp-on wheel
weight should be used to provide the appropriate clearance with components of the suspension.
Using other types and sizes of clamp-on weights on the wheel could result in weight removal or
damage while turning. This may occur during slow speed manoeuvers involving tight turning and
a lowered suspension (Low Buoy).
The appropriate weights are described in Table 1.

Any other type and size of clamp-on weight should not be used on vehicles equipped with Independent
Front Suspension (IFS) and 22.5 x 10.5 Alcoa wheels for 365/70 R 22.5 size tires.

Required balancing weight should be rounded to the next lower multiple of 2 oz.
Examples:
5 oz. required, Use 2 x 2 oz.
9 oz. required, Use 4 x 2 oz.
