2010-2012 Touareg with V6 3.6L-Evap Tank Leak Test
June 27, 2014: Update to Information.

It is recommended to perform the EVAP tank leak test on V6 equipped Touareg through Control Module
OBD. The test can be selected from the basic settings selection under the ECM address 01. Select “Tank
Leak Test” basic setting and then select “Measured Values” so that the readings can be monitored during
the test (Figure 2). Select “Tank Leak, Result” and “Tank Leak, Status” from the drop down list and press
the “forward” arrow to continue. Press the “forward” arrow again and then the ‘Start” button. The brake
and gas pedal must both be depressed in order for the test to begin.
