Performance Traction Management (PTM) Feature Does Not Function or Unable to Activate

Models:

2014 Chevrolet Corvette
Equipped with Performance Package Handling (RPO Z51)
and Special Ride and Handling Suspension (FE4)

Condition/Concern
Some customers may comment that the vehicles Performance Traction Management (PTM) feature does not function or that they cannot activate the feature.

Recommendation/Instructions
Confirm the vehicle is equipped with the Performance Traction Management (PTM) feature. There has been some misunderstanding from the customers as to
whether their vehicle is equipped with PTM. Only Stingrays equipped with Z51 option and FE4 suspension will have PTM.
Attempt to activate the PTM feature. To select this optional handling mode, the driver mode selector must be in the “Track” mode. Then quickly press the
Traction ControlStabiliTrak button on the center console two times. PERF TRAC 1 - WET ACTIVE HANDLING ON will be displayed in the DIC.

If you are able to activate the PTM, please educate the customer on the proper procedure to activate this feature. The complete instructions can also be
found in the Driving and Operating section under Performance Traction Management (page 9–43) of the vehicles owners manual.

If you are unable to activate the PTM, an updated software calibration has been released to improve the PTM and competitive mode availability.
Reprogram the K17 electronic brake control module (EBCM) using the Service Programming System (SPS) with the latest calibrations available on
TIS2WEB. Refer to the Electronic Brake Control Module Programming and Setup procedure in SI.
