We are pleased to announce that effective on October 1“, 2017, Meritor’s premium wheel end heat sensing
technology, ThermALERT, will become standard on all Meritor Tire Inflation System (MTIS) kits at no additional
cost.

ThermALERT wheel end heat sensing technology immediately alerts drivers to overheating wheel end
conditions. It is a proven and reliable system engineered to activate at a temperature that will allow the driver to
stop the vehicle safely and avoid consequential damage that may require replacement or repair of the axle
and/or suspension. ThermALERT reduces vehicle downtime and increases vehicle, driver and public safety.

Meritor realizes that the number one priority for our customers in the near future is to seek compliance with the
new GHG2 mandates. We understand how challenging that can be and we want to show our support and
commitment to being the right partner. For this reason, starting with trailers built on or after October 1°, 2017,
Meritor will extend the warranty of MTIS from 3 years or 500K miles to 5 years with Unlimited Miles, also at no
additional cost to our customers. This change is in line with the regulating agencies warranty expectations for
Automatic Tire Inflation Systems (ATIS). Full details of this warranty coverage can be found in publication SP-

Our customers and end users will be able to enjoy the benefits of ThermALERT and the extended warranty at
no premium.

To facilitate this change, we are maintaining the standard or non-ThermALERT kit part numbers the same as
today. This is done in an effort to reduce or minimize any changes to our customer's bills of materials or to
existing purchase orders. In terms of pricing, we will be adjusting the prices of our ThermALERT kits (PNs
beginning with “H") to match the non-ThermALERT kit pricing (PNs beginning with “3"). For example, PN
H1975-22 will have the same price as PN 31975-22, and PN H2712-22 will have the same price as 32712-22.
Please be aware, that kits without the ThermALERT feature in them will no longer be available for original
equipment or retrofit applications.
