This is to revise and replace ATC 1831-A, dated 06-Dec-2016. This revision is to:
1. Extend the Expiration Date.

Description
This ATC is being issued to address inadequate v-band nut torque on certain ISL G
aftertreament catalysts. This action will allow for the installation of a lock nut in addition to
the existing v-band nuts to insure that the proper torque is maintained and avoid
loosening of the v-band.
Action
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1. will be covered Regardless of coverage status, and

After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, please perform the
following actions:
1. Re-torque the existing free-spinning nut on each of the 3 aftertreatment v-bands and
install the specified lock nut.
