work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date
without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

Some 1R-0716 Engine Oil Filters (Lube Filters) may possess a
manufacturing problem which could make the filter difficult to remove
for service.

ACTION REQUIRED
NOTE: Make every effort to complete this program as soon as possible.
Inspect all 1R-0716 Engine Oil Filters (Lube Filters) in dealer parts
stock.
If the date code on the filter matches any of the following date codes,
then remove the filter from dealer part stock.
