Power System Won’t Start? Check for Blown B5 (7.5 A) Fuse

If the power system won’t start when pressing the ENGINE/START STOP button, yet the instrument panel and other
electrical items are working, a blown B5 (7.5 A) fuse in the auxiliary under-hood fuse/relay box may be the culprit.
We’ve traced the cause of this blown fuse to a short in the high mount brake light.
If you get a vehicle in for this issue, check if the brake/taillights and high mount brake light are working when you press
the brake pedal. If they aren’t, check for a blown B5 (7.5 A) fuse and replace if needed. Then, replace the high mount
brake light.
