On the vehicles affected by this bulletin, remove relay R26, isolate and/or reconnect wires according to
the wiring diagram D061670 P18.2 revision 8. Also move water pump ground connection to the electronic
ground pin A54 J2.14 and rename circuit gnd-0EVAP2-14.

PROCEDURE
DANGER
Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop engine. Prior to working on the vehicle, set the ignition
switch to the OFF position and trip the main circuit breakers equipped with a trip button.
1. Locate Relay R26 into the evaporator
compartment.

2. Remove relay R26 from its base. You do
not need a special tool for this operation.
You just pull it out upward.

3. Remove black tape around the wiring. Be
careful to avoid any wiring damage with
the knife.
4. Remove the screw from the R26 relay
base.

5. Slide out the R26 relay base.

6. Cut circuit R26.85 and circuit R26.86 close
to the R26 relay base to keep a length of
wire for the next step. Connection ID is
written on the relay.

7. Isolate the two cut wires with 1.5’’ length
of shrink tubing part # 560784. Insert wire
¾’’ into the shrink tubing before eating it.

compartment.

disconnect it from connector C15A:18. Use
blue extractor # 682321 for the extraction
of the terminal in connector C15A.

10. Use a P-Touch printer to make a label with
the new name of this wire 24-AE54J2.7-18.
Install this label on the wire between
C15A18 and port 1 of So13 valve.

disconnect this wire from AE54J2.7 module
connection.

13. Install terminals on this wire as shown on
Figure 11. Use tool #682447 for the

Use the right terminal with the right
wire.
Terminal #563752 is for black wire and it
has longer tabs than terminal 563682.
Socket terminal #562482 is for black wire
and it has a green line on its side compare
to terminal #561608.

14. Cut orange wire 16’’ long.
15. Install terminals on the orange wire as
shown on Figure 12. Use tool #682447 for
the crimping of the terminal #561608.

the name of this circuit 24-AE54J2.7-18.
Install this label on this orange wire.

the new name 2.1_Gnd_Electro:3F. Install
this label on this black wire.
