Subject: 2017 R8 engine codes CSPA and CSPB notice

To: U.S, Puerto Rico Dealers

If you have a MY2017 R8 and ODIS prompts you to select an engine code, select engine code
CXJA for the 5.2L. Even if the Elsa repair manual calls for an engine code CSPA or CSPB, use
engine code CXJA instead.
We have been notified that during the development of the latest ODIS software, both engine
codes CSPA and CSPB had an issue communicating with the ECM which might cause
misdiagnosis during repairs.
This software concern has been corrected on the next ODIS Brand release due in CW14, but
until then, use engine code CXJA for your diagnosis.
