Summary
TT-15-029 During the installation of rear body lighting, failure of the TAIL LAMP fuse in the cab fuse panel may occur due to increased load on the tail lamp system. Do not install a fuse with a higher amperage rating, damage to the wiring harness will result and is not warrantable. Blown fuses should only be replaced with high quality fuses of the correct amperage rating.

BODY LIGHTING INSTALLATION
SUBJECT VEHICLES: All Hino trucks
Note: This technical tip is provided as technical information and is not authorization for a
warrantable repair.
OVERVIEW: During the installation of rear body lighting, failure of the TAIL LAMP fuse in
the cab fuse panel may occur due to increased load on the tail lamp system. Do not
install a fuse with a higher amperage rating, damage to the wiring harness will
result and is not warrantable. Blown fuses should only be replaced with high quality
fuses of the correct amperage rating.
REPAIR METHOD:
A dedicated parking/tail lamp accessory power circuit is provided on both COE and
Conventional vehicles. This circuit is wired to a spare power source connector on the
frame behind the cab. Utilize this circuit to power auxiliary lighting. Refer to the appropriate
Body Builder Book > Chapter 7 > Electrical Power Sources for circuit details and
connector location. See examples on the following page.
