AD-IS (P/N: K154348) air dryer on air brake equipped vehicles contains several serviceable components. This replacement purge valve can eliminate the need to replace the whole air dryer assembly. These serviceable components include a valve, dryer heater, and governor. These specific components can be replaced while the air dryer is installed in the vehicle.

2011MY – 2015MY Bendix® Air Dryer Service
SUBJECT VEHICLES:
2011 through 2015 model year NJ8J, and NV8J conventional trucks.
Note: This technical tip is provided as technical information and is not authorization for a warrantable repair.
CONDITION:
The Bendix® AD-IS (P/N: K154348) air dryer on air brake equipped vehicles contains several serviceable
components. This replacement purge valve can eliminate the need to replace the whole air dryer assembly.
These serviceable components include a valve, dryer heater, and governor. These specific components can be
replaced while the air dryer is installed in the vehicle.
WARNING: Always ensure the dryer purge reservoir and all other air reservoirs on the vehicle are
depressurized before servicing.
CAUTION: Do not place your hand or other
objects under the purge valve while the
vehicle is running. If airflow from the purge
valve is blocked during a purge cycle, damage
to the internal drain valve will occur resulting
in a leak and will require purge valve
replacement. A purge cycle lasts 30 seconds
after the initial burst of air is heard. The image
