Notice: Involved vehicles have manufacture-produced dates ranging from 22AU2015 to 05OCT2015. The involved vehicles will be identified in
Global Warranty Management (GWM) under Investigate Vehicle History (IVH) in the Service Information section.
This Bulletin is being published to inform Dealership Personnel that certain Cargo and Cutaway (not passenger) vans were built with an incorrect 7th digit of
the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) System, Character B that should be Character H.
NOT ALL vehicles produced had the appropriate conditions that would have resulted in this VIN Character error.

•

Incorrect Character 7: Restraint Code B indicates RPO AJ3: Active Manual Belts, Airbag - Driver Only - Front.

•

Correct Character 7: Restraint Code H indicates RPO AJ3 and RPO ASF: Active Manual Belts, Airbag - Driver Only - Front, Front Seat Side (1st row),
Roof Side.

Customer Information — Owner Advisory Letter 15792
Notice: DO NOT destroy the Owner Advisory Letter 15792. Keep the Owner Advisory Letter in the vehicle’s glovebox at all times.
GM does not believe that this error will impact the ability to register, maintain, sell, or insure the vehicle. However, when you do sell or insure the vehicle,you
should provide a copy of the Owner Advisory Letter 15792 to the potential purchaser or your insurer. This will help prevent confusion regarding the
number and types of air bags installed in the vehicle. You may also need to present the Owner Advisory Letter 15792 when registering the vehicle, having
service performed at non-GM Dealerships, or in the unlikely event that law enforcement examines the vehicle for “Theft & Chop” activity.
The information contained within this Bulletin is important to the Customer. Please communicate to the Customer that we apologize for this inconvenience and
for any concern that this situation may cause them and also provide a copy of this General Motors Bulletin to them.
