DESCRIPTION
The brake lining wear rate will vary due to vehicle vocation, loading, operating environment and driving habits. During brake
inspection the customer should monitor lining wear versus accrued mileage to develop lining life projections to anticipate when lining
service may be required. This article will help the user assess caliper performance uneven wear and expedite OnTrac case review.

REPAIR STEP(s)
NOTE: Service brake with OEM MA707 approved kit. The brake pad service kits will include linings, wear plates, pad retainer spring
and related fasteners. Use all components in the service kit. Always service pads as an axle set, never individually.
1. Install New wear plates (clean wear plate surface before installing)
2. Install new brake pads- Verify pads move freely before installing the pad retainer
3. If the brake pads do not move freely, then contact Meritor OnTrac for further direction.
