DESCRIPTION
The Wingman® Fusion™ camera software has an issue in determining the regional settings. This can cause
fault codes, warning lights and disabling certain functions of the Wingman® Fusion™. Wingman® radar-only
collision mitigation remains intact.

ELIGIBILITY
This procedure applies ONLY to vehicles marked in the International® Service PortalSM with AFC 16906. Also
complete any other open campaigns listed on the Service Portal at this time.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
WARNING: To prevent property damage, personal injury, and / or death, park vehicle on hard
flat surface, turn the engine off, set the parking brake, and install wheel chocks to prevent the
vehicle from moving in both directions.
WARNING: To prevent property damage, personal injury, and / or death, if the vehicle must be
raised, do not work under the vehicle supported only by jacks. Jacks can slip or fall over.
WARNING: To prevent personal injury and / or death, always wear safe eye protection when
performing vehicle maintenance.
WARNING: To prevent property damage, personal injury, and / or death, keep flames or
sparks away from vehicle and do not smoke while servicing the vehicle’s batteries. Batteries
expel explosive gases.
WARNING: To prevent property damage, personal injury, and /or death, remove ground cable
from negative terminal of main battery before disconnecting or connecting electrical components.
Always connect ground cable last.
1. Park vehicle on flat surface.
2. Shift transmission to Park or Neutral and set parking brake.
3. Install wheel chocks.
4. Connect EZ-Tech® with Bendix ACom Diagnostics software to vehicle.
5. Turn vehicle ignition ON.
6. Start Bendix ACom Diagnostics.

1. Faults 58 and 86

NOTE: If the camera requires replacement, the parts and labor must be on a separate repair. After the
camera is replaced, proceed to Step 27.
11. Determine if faults 58 and 86 (Figure 4, Item 1) are listed in the diagnostic report:
a. If fault 58 is listed and / or fault 86 is listed (either active or inactive), the camera MUST be replaced.
b. If neither fault 58 nor fault 86 is listed, the camera should be reflashed to the latest software. Proceed
to Step 12.
12. Close the ACom software.
13. Using a web browser, navigate to the following file on the EZ-Tech® Download Center website:
http://teamsites.navistar.com/sites/EZ-TechDownloadCenter/EZTech%20Updates/Bendix%20AutoVue%20FLC20.zip.
A prompt to confirm the patch installation appears.

14. Click OK (Figure 5, Item 1) to install the patch.
When patch installation is complete, a message indicating successful installation will appear.

16. Start ACom and connect to the FLC20 ECU.

18. Select update package to be installed (Figure 8, Item 2). Make note of selected update’s NAME. (This
information is required for Step 26.)
19. Click DOWNLOAD button (Figure 8, Item 1). A progress bar will be displayed
NOTE: Updating the ECU software should take approximately three to five minutes.
20. Once download is finished, key cycle vehicle:
a. If an Unknown Error message is displayed and the download failed, proceed to Step 21.
b. If download succeeds, proceed to Step 24.

21. Close Bendix ACom Diagnostic Software.
22. Power cycle vehicle (key OFF, then ON to ignition).
23. Restart the update process (return to Step 16).
24. Start vehicle and wait 15 seconds.
25. Restart Acom, select FLC20 and click START WITH ECU.

26. Verify that Software Version Number displayed (Figure 9, Item 1) matches update Name noted in Step 18.
27. Turn vehicle ignition OFF, close ACom, and disconnect EZ-Tech® from vehicle.
28. Remove wheel chocks.

ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURE
Expense is to be charged to Warranty. Claims are to be submitted in the normal manner, making reference to
Authorized Field Change Number 16906.
Section 7 of the Warranty Policy and Procedures Manual contains further information related to the submission
and processing of AFC / Recall claims.
As with all claim submissions, items acquired locally must be submitted in the “Other Charges” tab. The cost
of any bulk items (such as a bag of cable tie straps, roll of wire, barrel of oil, or tube of silicone) should be
prorated for the cost of the individual pieces / amount used during each repair.
To ensure this important improvement is made in a timely manner, all claims for 16906 activity must be
submitted by 05 April 2018 or within the normal warranty period for the vehicle, if after 05 April 2018.
