¼” Lock Washer – McMaster Carr PN: 91102A750 – Qty: 2

¼-20 Nut – McMaster Carr PN: 95462A029 – Qty: 2

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED ACCORDING TO ACCEPTED INDUSTRY

STANDARDS AND LOCAL/PROPERTY REQUIREMENTS.

1. Park the bus and apply the parking brake.

2. Shut off the batteries using the battery disconnect switch.

3. Locate and open the DEF tank access door (see below).

4. Remove the four bolts that fasten the DEF filler neck to the bus structure (see below).

Set the hardware aside it will be used later during reinstallation.
5. Locate and remove the clamp that fastens the DEF filler neck to the silicone hose that is

connected to the DEF tank. Set the clamp aside, it will be used later for reinstallation of the

filler neck.

6. Carefully remove the DEF Filler neck from the hose and set aside for reinstallation.

7. Remove the clamp that fastens the drain hose and remove the drain hose. Set aside clamp

and hose for reinstallation.

8. Put a rag inside the silicone hose to ensure no debris can enter the DEF tank while

performing this retrofit (see below).
9. Mark the bus structure as indicated in the picture (see below), using a cut-off wheel remove

the portion of the bus structure. Deburr any sharp edges caused from cutting.

10. Install the DEF filler neck bracket using the existing upper holes using the hardware removed

in step 4 (see below).
11. Using the bracket installed in step 9 as a template drill 4 holes using a 17/64 drill bit (see

below).

12. Reinstall the DEF filler neck back to the silicone hose using the clamp removed in step 5.

Tighten clamp securely.

13. Reinstall the drain hose using the clamp removed in step 7. Tighten clamp securely.

14. Install the mounting bolts to the holes drilled in step 10. Use provided hardware for the center

holes and reuse the bolts removed in step 4 for the lower holes (see below).
15. Clean up any debris caused by performing this retrofit.
