DESCRIPTION:
This campaign is being issued to upgrade the calibration and cam sensor extension harness. This document
authorizes certified repair locations to re-calibrate the engine control module (ECM) and replace the cam sensor
extension harness. No parts are covered under this field action. Parts have already been supplied to the repair
locations.
ACTION:
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1 will be covered Regardless of coverage status, and
2 must show an OPEN status for this field action on QuickServe® Online.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
1 All engines will require an ECM calibration. To obtain a calibration via QuickServe® Online (QSOL), enter the
Engine Serial Number into QSOL, click on the Service Tab, then "Related Information", then click on
"Calibration Downloads" link and enter the requested information to obtain a Zip file to recalibrate the ECM.
2 Recalibrate the ECM as described in procedure 019-032 of the appropriate Service Manual on QSOL. Provide
documentation of the ECM revision from before and after the recalibration in the notes of the claim.
3 Install the camshaft position sensor extension harness that has been provided. Refer to procedure 019-363 for
reference only. For questions regarding the supplied parts, please contact Richard L Perry,

MATERIAL DISPOSITION:
Materials removed as a result of this field action must be scrapped.

narrative, may also be claimed on this action.
