This Service Policy Letter is to tell you about the launch of the new Aston Martin Diagnostic System (AMDS) 2.0 system
and to give information about the Initial Stock Order (ISO) for the DB11 launch.
The initial Aston Martin Diagnostic System was launched in 2007. It will now be replaced by a more sophisticated and
more powerful tool – AMDS 2.0. We will issue an additional Service Policy Letter soon that gives more information about
the system.
AMDS 2.0
Bosch have developed the new Aston Martin Diagnostic System with support from key partners which include your own
Technicians. AMDS 2.0 is therefore the most sophisticated diagnostic tool ever made available to our franchised Dealer
Network. It gives fast vehicle diagnostic procedures and applicable tools, as well as on-line help software for Technicians
who need aid to operate the System.
Dealer Communication System (DCS) Functionality
The new AMDS 2.0 is able to communicate directly with the Aston Martin Dealer Communication System (DCS). It will
help Technicians to diagnose and repair electrical problems and to get fast “Right First Time” solutions. AMDS 2.0 will
also improve communication between our global Dealer Network and the factory based Service Bay Diagnostics Team at
Gaydon.
Note:
Dealers must make sure that their technicians use AMDS 2.0 to get access to the DCS portal so that the
technicians have the newest Technical Information available.
Note:
The minimum broadband speed necessary is 2Mbit/second.
Delivery and Availability
The new Aston Martin Diagnostic System is a mandatory item of equipment. Because of this, all Dealers will receive One
Mandatory Complete AMDS 2.0 System, packaged and despatched directly from Aston Martin’s distribution hub.
Each AMDS 2.0 kit comes with a comprehensive five-year Service Support Contract, together with applicable details of
Hot-Line and Hardware replacement infrastructure.
DB11 Initial Stock Order (ISO)
To support the launch of DB11, we will automatically issue to all Dealers an Initial Stock Order of workshop equipment
and replacement parts. Deliveries will start in late September 2016 and will continue into October and November. We
will schedule deliveries so that you receive your Initial Stock Order before the delivery of your first vehicle.

Each DB11 ISO will include the parts that follow:
1. One Aston Martin Diagnostic System (AMDS) 2.0.
Each Dealer will receive one new AMDS 2.0 unit and its associated ancillaries. Aston Martin will purchase back your
current AMDS 1.0 unit - a credit will be made to your parts account for this sum.
You will need to return the units to Parts Operations in the UK. Full details of this returns policy will be detailed in a
separate communication.
We will tell you directly the cost of the unit and the sum which will be credited to your parts account on the return of
your AMDS 1.0 unit.

We will send you a full set of workshop tools that are unique to DB11, which contains the tools that follow:
