'Click' / 'Rattle' Noise From Engine Compartment When Driving

CONDITION SUMMARY:

NOTE: Refer to Service Instruction steps 1 and 2 for typical road surface that will generate the concern.
Situation: Dependant on road conditions, vehicle speed, and driving style, a 'click' / 'rattle' noise may be heard from the engine
compartment under the following conditions:
A. A 'click' noise during sharp acceleration or braking at a variety of vehicle temperatures and ambient conditions;
may also occur during sharp turns left or right at speeds of 5-15 mph (10-25Kph).
B. A 'rattle' noise when driving over an irregular road surface (cobble stone, bricks, etc. [see Steps 1 and 2
illustrations]) until the road surface changes.
The sound may also be described as a light vibration and can occur at any temperature or ambient condition.

NOTE: 'Click' noise is applicable only to Range Rover up to VIN DA121129.

NOTE: Refer to Technical Bulletin LTB00557NAS and LTB00573NAS for further assistance in diagnosing noise from
front suspension.
Cause: This may be caused by the engine mounts.
Action: Should a customer express this concern, follow the Service Instruction outlined below.
