Remanufactured Parts Operations

Engine Wire Harness added to Recycle Program

Please be aware that American Honda will collect and recyclethe Engine Wire Harness, for partnumbers
32110-5A2-306, 32110-5A2-A02,32110-5A2-405, 32110-5A2-A71, 32110-5A2-406, 32110-5A2-A72, and
32110-SLA-405,replaced under any new vehicle warranty or goodwillrepair. The guidelines below explain how to
return these parts forrecycling.
Return Guidelines
1) File aWarranty Claim (via iN)
a) When submitting a warranty claim for these parts,be sure to include the part number and the appropriate flat
rate labor time.
b) Afterfiling a parts replacement warranty claim, your dealership will receiveshipping instructions on your
Warranty Parts Return Document.

2) Complete theWarranty ID Tag
a) Ensure that the entire Warranty Parts ID Tag iscompleted and attach this tag to the part.
b) When you receive the Warranty Parts ReturnDocument, fold and staple it to the Warranty Parts ID Tag. The
request will generate 14 days after theclaim is paid. This 14 day delay onlyapplies to parts to be
recycled. Reference Parts Information Bulletin A0S-0005 for more information.
3) Prepare theLabel
Daily Delivery dealers: Complete the Backtrack Bill of Lading
Non-DailyDelivery dealers: Please return parts via FedEx Ground, using the E-MailReturn Label System. Be
sure to record the tracking number.

4) Record theClaim for Your Records
On the customer repair order, write the warranty claim number, backtrack reference number and date from the
BacktrackB ill of Lading.
5)

Return the Part
Package the part,preferably in the box that the replacement came in.
Return the faulty partaccording to the instructions on the Warranty Parts Return Document.

Reasons for rejection include, butare not limited to, missing Warranty Parts ID Tag and missing Warranty
PartsReturn Document. Please see ServiceOperations Manual Section 8.18, "Criteria for Rejected Parts," for
moredetails.

6) Additional Information:
Claim Processing
Dealers must return the faulty enginewire harness replaced under warranty to receive full credit on the
warranty claim.Freight for any rejected parts will be charged to the dealership's balanceforward account.
