Customer may report
vehicle will not start (no
crank).

Vehicle will lock and unlock with the remote, but does not crank, there is
also no Smart Key Not Found message. Root cause has been found with
Body Control Module software. The software is currently on SDD, but
vehicles will first require a CCF update which will not be available until
DVD 146 patch 5. Vehicles can be repaired on a case by case basis
through the TA process.

Customer may state
touch screen
screensaver not holding
after an ignition cycle.

A customer may set a screensaver on the touchscreen such as the clock,
after an ignition cycle the vehicle will not retain the customer’s setting.
New software for the touch screen is being developed and will be released
on DVD 146 patch 4. A technical publication will be released when the
software is available.

Customers may report
they cannot play a DVD
after Audio Control
Module replacement.

Customers may complain that they cannot play a DVD after having the
Audio Control Module (ACM) replaced. Root cause has been found to be
a software mismatch between the ACM and touch screen. Software is still
being developed for this concern timing is TBC, but a vehicle can be
repaired on a case by case basis through the TA process.

LTB00540NAS5 has been updated to include the latest part numbers and
SDD DVD and patch information. The Keyless Vehicle Module (KVM)
should only be replaced if SDD prompts. All customer keys must be
present if the KVM is to be replaced

that the Check Engine
Light is illuminated with
DTC P025C-11 stored in
PCM.

An issue has been identified with the PCM software that under certain
conditions this DTC will be set in error illuminating the CEL. New PCM
software is being developed to correct this concern, target to release on
Aug. 25, 2016. Note: This DTC can be set for valid circuit faults. Always
perform primary and secondary fault diagnosis to ensure the DTC was not
set in due to a circuit fault. If other PCM DTCs are stored diagnose them
first. When DTC P025C-11 is set in error there will be not symptoms of a
drivability concern, just an illuminated CEL.

Customers may report
engine coolant is leaking
from the reservoir cap.

Engine coolant may be found to be leaking from the coolant reservoir cap.
This may be caused by a coolant reservoir neck that is distorted. Should a
customer express a concern, check the reservoir neck for being out of
round (oval) by measuring across the opening at different points. Any
reservoir that is found to be distorted must be replaced. The coolant cap
should be reusable.

evaporative emissions
leak stored.

This may be due to the evaporative system hoses to the carbon canister
cracking. The material used during manufacturing was away from
specification. New evaporative system hoses in the correct material are
being produced to correct this concern. A TSB JTB00506 (Jaguar) &
LTB00970 (Land Rover) has been published for this concern. Hoses with
new material have been introduced into production.

stored in the PCM

Revised PCM software has been developed to prevent these codes
from false flagging. New PCM software was released on DVD144 P6
for 16MY.15 & 14MY PCM software is available on DVD 146.04 due
to be released July 14. TSB LTB00902NAS3 will be updated to
include 14 & 15MY vehicles. It is important to leak test the exhaust
system for faults, as detailed in the service publications.

Customer may report
CEL is illuminated with
DTC P249C-00 stored in
the PCM

This may be caused by a calibration error relating to the time to enter close
loop reductant injection control with auto Stop/Start events. Revise PCM
calibration has been developed to address this concern, available on DVD
146.03. TSB LTB00971 is on sign-off.

Customers may state
there is a creak noise
from the rear of the
vehicle.

A creak noise may be found coming from the rear suspension area. The
rear suspension coil spring isolator deforms allowing the spring to contact
the body in white cone. New upper and lower spring isolators have been
produced to correct this concern. TSB JTB00499 will be published once
parts are available. For critical customer concerns on sold cars, please
submit a TA case so assistance can be expedited to repair customer
vehicles ahead of the TSB publication.

Customers may state air
conditioning system
does not blow cold.

This may be caused by a refrigerant leak at the condenser dryer plug seal.
The O-ring seal material is not compatible with 1234YF refrigerant. A new
O-ring seal made from a different material is being produced to correct this
concern. A TSB will be published once the new seal becomes available
timing is TBC.

Customers may report
the HVAC blower fan is
delayed in operating
when first starting the
vehicle.

The climate control system fan operation strategy has change. The new
fan strategy will have the air flow directed to the floor with low fan speed on
start-up until the evaporator starts cool (about 20 seconds) regardless of
air distribution or fan speed selected. After the evaporator starts cooling
the air flow distribution and fan speed will change to the settings selected
on the climate control system panel. This new strategy prevents hot air
coming from the face vents when the vehicle has been sitting and helps
prevent any odor concerns due to a dry evaporator. Please Note: updating
the Climate Control Module software on 13 – 16MY Range Rovers and 14
– 16MY Range Rover Sport models will install this new air control strategy.

Customers may
complain that their
electronic toll tag is not
read correctly through
the windshield.

This may be caused by the electronic toll tag not being positioned properly
in the infrared radiation reflective (IRR) layer cut-out in the windshield of
Solar Attenuating glass. A SSM will be published to display the optimum
location on the windshield to mount the electronic toll tag for each model.

Is there an update to the
high performance front
brake concern?

There are brake pads with a higher compressibility specification on order.
The target timing for availability is later in July. There will be further
communication provides once the parts are available.

Is there a protocol to
follow regarding DEF
fluid contamination
faults?

The diagnostic procedures on TOPIx for DEF quality fault DTC’s is robust
and should be followed to determine is DEF quality concerns. If the DEF in
the vehicle tank is found to be a problem, simply drain the system and fill
with the approved DEF. There is no need to purge the lines or clean the
injector as the system will do this automatically as part of it’s operation.

The satellite radio icon
displays randomly and
there is no sound when
satellite radio is selected
intermittently.

This is the first report we have received for this concern. It is not currently
being investigated. Looking at the TA case submitted, it has been closed
due to the vehicle being returned to the customer. When the vehicle
returns, please continue diagnostics through the Technical HelpLine via
the TA case. Should you encounter any other vehicles with this concern
please report then via a TA case submission.
