Subject: ODIS Resetting the service reminder intervals on 2016 and
earlier vehicles

Information.

During some validation testing using the latest ODIS software, it was noticed that the Audi
Inspection Service USA function test will not set the intervals of the service reminder on 2016
and earlier vehicles. This concern has been addressed and corrected on the next ODIS update,
which will be available in CW 38.
In the meantime, the following workaround can be used until the corrected ODIS software is
sent out to the field.
For A3 (2006-2012), A4 (2008-2015), A5 (2008-2015), Q5 (2009-2016), A6 (20052010), Q7 (2007-2015), R8 (2008-2014), and TT (2008-2014):

• adaptation channel 2 set value ‘0’
• adaptation channel 40 set value ‘0’
• adaptation channel 41 set value ‘0’
• adaptation channel 53 set value ‘0’
• adaptation channel 55 set value ‘0’
For A3 (2013-2016), Q3 (2015-2016), A4 (2016), A5 (2016), A6 (2011-2016), A7
(2012-2016), Q7 (2016), R8 (2015-2016), and TT (2015-2016):

• adaptation channel ESI_Reset_ESI (Ident 2232) set value ‘reset’
• adaptation channel FIX_Mileage_since_last_mileage_based_service_event (Ident
22A6) set value ‘0’
• adaptation channel FIX_Time_since_last_time_based_service_event (Ident 22A7) set
value ‘0’

Note for 2016 TT only:
Some 2016 TT vehicles were incorrectly programmed in production. For these vehicles, the
following channels need to be modified after the adaption channels listed above:

SID_Maximum_mileage_to_next_oil_service (Ident 22A0): “16060”
SID_Maximum_time_to_next_oil_service (Ident 22A1): “365”
SID_Maximum_distance_to_next_mileage_based_service_event (Ident 22A4):
“16060”
SID_Maximum_time_to_next_time_based_service_event (Ident 22A5): “365”
