

Situation
We have found that it is possible for the "XDIAVEL" plate on the rider seat to detach on the model in
question. In the cases analyzed we found that this defect occurs due to the plate fastening clips.

Ducati have therefore designed new plate fastening clips with improved mechanical performance. We
have decided to preventively update the first batch of motorcycles produced by installing new clips part
no. 85044251A, adding them to the ones already installed on the seats.
The new clips with part no. 85044251A were introduced into the production line starting with the
following VIN numbers:
1st VIN XDiavel Standard version with clip part no.85044251A

ZDM13BKW5GB001138

1st VIN XDiavel S version with clip part no.85044251A

ZDM13BKW0GB000771

This Workshop Campaign applies ONLY to original equipment seats; therefore the seats sold as Ducati
Performance accessories are not included.



Customers
All bikes in your stock (to be registered or already registered) and those to be delivered to final
Customers are required to be inspeetd and, if necessary, the rider seat must be updated during predelivery operations and ALWAYS before delivery to the final Customer. All bikes already delivered to
final Customers must undergo this update as soon as they return to your workshop.

Warranty
Update procedure reimbursement will be issued through the standard warranty claim procedure via the
section Recall Campaigns or Vehicle History of the DCS.
The warranty claim is pre-filled and is identified as CR128.
You will be reimbursed:
 for 6 minutes of labor time (1 labor unit) that includes the time necessary for:
o bike reception;
o opening the thermal protection of the rider seat;
o installing the 2 stainless steel clips part no.85044251A;
o filling out the warranty claim.
