Dear Ducati Dealer,
Ducati is pleased to announce the new M.Y.2008 to M.Y. 2016 TMD (Transparent Maintenance Ducati)
and Scheduled Maintenance Checklist forms. These communication tools are an integral part of Ducati
Service minimum requirements.

Ducati Transparent Maintenance Poster
In an effort to increase customer satisfaction and improve service transparency the Transparent
Maintenance Poster will be produced by Ducati North America and provided to the dealer network at no
cost. The TMD poster shows a simplified listing of the recommended time frames needed to perform the
scheduled maintenance on Ducati motorcycles from M.Y. 2008 to M.Y. 2016. This document cancels and
supersedes the previous editions: SVC-11-017, SVC-12-017, SVC-13-010, SVC-15-012 and SVC-15-022.
The poster will provide a tool which your customers may use to gain better understanding of their
motorcycles’ scheduled maintenance requirements, including the need for Annual Services. The times
displayed are in tenths of an hour increments (ex. 1.5 hrs. = 1 hour and 30 minutes) and can be multiplied
by the dealer’s hourly rate to give an approximation of the cost of any given service. Please note that the
display of this poster is mandatory, and it is being provided with the expectation that Dealers display it in
the service write-up area in plain view of customers. For further details on this program and the shipment

Further copies of the Transparent Maintenance poster can be printed in color; in size 70 cm x 100 cm. You
are expected to display it to the public in the reception area of your dealership’s Ducati Service area, and
use it to provide customers with scheduled maintenance quotations.
NOTE
Ducati North America is expecting some variability in what the dealers are charging for
scheduled maintenance based on individual labor rates, but in order to change the
customer’s perception of high cost maintenance it is very important that all dealers
follow the factory guidelines that reflect continued reductions in parts and labor costs
from the previous scheduled maintenance services. The maintenance times listed in
the new TMD are the official Ducati times, which will be communicated to all
Customers when they make requests to DNA Customer Service. Moreover,
please be aware that these maintenance times are available to Customers on the
Ducati.com website. Therefore, we recommend that you always comply with these times
in order to meet the goals of transparency and consistency for all Customers. Labor
rates applied to the Customers as well as price of lubricants and fluids remain at your
discretion. Please, be reminded that if a mileage-related service and a time-related service
are due at the same time, the mileage-related service operations must always be carried
out by adding the time of any additional operation. Before reading service times, always
check the notes relating to the concerned model.

The Scheduled Maintenance Check List forms describe the operations to be carried out during
scheduled maintenance (with details for each type of operation, the mileage and/or time intervals). This
document comprehensively contains the eight released Scheduled Maintenance Check List forms.

introducing the specific model:

the work order.
