This is to revise and replace TRP 1354, dated 11-Jun-2013. This revision is to:
1. Extend the expiration date to 31-Dec-2014, and
2. Update the ESN list.
If additional information is required, contact your Cummins Warranty Operations Group
Leader.

Description
This TRP is being issued to clean/replace a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) on ISX15/12
CM2250 and QSX15/11.9 CM2250 engines which experience Fault Codes 3375, 3376, 1981,
or 1922. In order to qualify for this TRP, troubleshooting must have been completed and there
is not an assignable failure upstream of the DPF causing the excessive filter restriction. The
TRP may be filed one time only for an applicable ESN.

This TRP is retroactive through 01-Jan-2014.

Action
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1. will be covered in the Base Engine Warranty period OR will be covered if the engine has
CAP aftertreatment coverage (Cummins Aftertreatment Coverage for EPA 2010 Products
(ATX,ATM)) up to 480,000 km (300,000 mi), and
2. must be on the attached ESN list, and
3. must have accumulated 320,000 km (200,000 miles) or 4500 hours with the original DPF
or since replacement of the DPF, and
4. troubleshooting of the applicable Fault Codes 3375, 3376, 1981, or 1922 must have
been completed and there is not an assignable failure upstream of the DPF causing the
excessive filter restriction, and
5. must be within the following mileage/hr range:
 For ISX15/12 CM2250 engines in the Base Warranty period, the mileage must be
within the following range: (320,000 km [200,000 miles] and 400,000 km [250,000
miles]), OR
 For ISX15/12 CM2250 engines with CAP aftertreatment Coverage, the mileage
must be within the following range: (400,000 km [250,000 miles] and 480,000 km
[300,000 miles]), OR
 For QSX15/11.9 CM2250 engines, the operating hours must be within the following
range: (4500 and 6000 hours).
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
1. Clean/Replace the DPF as described in the troubleshooting procedure step that was
performed in the repair within this TRP. Perform the Procedure for R&I of the
aftertreatment DPF as described in Procedure 11-041 of the appropriate Service Manual
for the ESN.

Material Disposition
Materials removed as a result of this field action must be sent to ReCon®.

NOTE: If required, only 1 Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) will be authorized per claim.
Please refer to QuickServe® Online or contact the OEM to determine the correct DPF
part number for the aftertreatment system.
NOTE: This TRP will cover up to four 2871453 gaskets if published troubleshooting is
followed and the DPF is cleaned and, in a later step, fails the restriction test. Most
repairs will only require two 2871453.
