1. Introduction
A programming bug in the Agility Fuel Systems electronic control unit (ECU) causes fuel gauge
readings to be inaccurate. The issue is fixed with a software upgrade to the ECU. As a field
replacement procedure, these ECUs are being replaced under warranty.
NOTE: This is not a product recall. There is no danger to the vehicle, the operator or the fuel
system. This is a software programming error that is fixed with the new update.

2. Affected Units
All Kenworth LNG systems. The fuel gauge and low fuel warning light indicate “empty” too early.
The gauge may also show “Full” when the tank is not full. VINs: 419354 - 419361; 414404 414453; 415029 - 415066 and 417729 - 417765.
3. Corrective Action
Remove the ECU and replace it with a new ECU with the upgraded software. The Agility Fuel
Systems part number is 20102101 with software file KenworthLNG01.gau. This information
appears on the ECU label as shown in Figure 1.
Return the old version ECU to Agility Fuel Systems using the standard Claim Reference Number
(CRN) procedure outlined in the Warranty Manual (ENP-067).
4. Procedure
Follow standard Agility Fuel Systems policies and procedures for in-warranty service and the return
of the ECU. Standard repair times (SRT) for remove and replace an ECU is 1.3 hours.
