PROCEDURE:
1. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the “OFF” position.
2. Open the access door on the curbside rear pillar of the bus to access the Zone #3 A/C compartment gas
detection sensor and wiring. Figure 1.

3. Install four tyrap mounting bases NF P/N 277973 at the locations shown in Figure 2 using Plexus PC120
primer NF P/N 067196 and Plexus adhesive NF P/N 526515 utilizing the following bonding procedure:
a.

Check the expiry date on the container of primer and adhesive to ensure the products are not past shelf
life.

b.

Apply thin layer of Plexus PC120 primer to all surfaces that are to be bonded using a clean cloth.

c.

While the primer is still wet, wipe down all primed surfaces with a clean lint free dry cloth to remove any
surface contaminants lifted by primer PC120 leaving only a thin quick drying film.

d.

When the primer PC120 is completely dried, apply Plexus MA1020 adhesive to primed surfaces.
Dispense adhesive the length of the mixing nozzle when using a new nozzle before applying to primed
surface.

e.

Place bonding surfaces together, press the surfaces firmly together and apply clamps or weights if
possible.

f.

Remove any excess squeezed out adhesive and allow to dry for 20 minutes before removing clamps or
weights.

Reroute Harness through Tyrap Mounts

4. Re-route the harness for the Gas Detection Sensor and loosely attach the harness to the four tyrap mounts
using a tyrap NF P/N 5958112 at each mount. Ensure that the harness does not contact the air intake duct
work or the CNG lines.
5. Pull excess harness down towards the engine compartment then secure the four tyraps previously installed at
the tyrap mounts.
6. Close and secure the pillar door.
7. Remove all tools and debris and return the bus to service condition.
8. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the “ON” position.
