THIS TSB OUTLINES THE PROCEDURE TO INSTALL THE SIDE STEP.

Disconnect vehicle battery.
Remove Footrest and front seats.
Remove front doors (optional, we did it so we did not have to cover them or work around them)
Remove front door opening weather seals.
Remove the drivers and passengers "A" and "B" pillar ABS.
Remove all electrical wires and components from the rocker panels. Some wires will need to be cut at
the splices and everything will need to be pulled to the front.
7. Remove front cladding from both right and left sides along with all the adhesives and fasteners.
8. Cover and protect door openings, inner lower skirt areas, floor material, window glass and exterior and
exterior of the van.
9. Locate and cut out the opening for the side skirt step and take note of the angles.
10. Tack the step in place and check the fit with the step cover cladding.
11. locate and tack the step gussets in place
12. Check the fit of the step cover cladding again making sure everything is in place.
13. Weld all the exterior seams and holes.
14. Weld all the gussets
15. Grind and smooth all the surfaces that make contact with the step cover cladding.
16. Body work and prep the new steps for paint.
17. Check the fit of the step cover cladding.
18. Seal and paint all bare metal on the outside of the van and paint the step covers.
19. . Install the step cover cladding.
20. Route the wires for the step lights and install the lights.
21. Reinstall all the electrical wires and components in the rocker panels. Seat harness relays will have to be
relocated to the sides of the center support brace.
22. Reinstall the drivers and passengers "A" and "B" pillar ABS.
23. Install the front door opening weather seals.
24. Install the front doors.
25. .Install the front footrest.
26. Reconnect the vehicle battery.
