UNITS AFFECTED: Challengers or Crusaders with Intermotive ILIS w/Fast Idle
DESCRIPTION: ILIS module causes some components to activate possibly draining the battery
WARRANTY INFORMATION: This will be allocated on a case by case basis.

PROCEDURE:

STEP #1 Remove the black screws surrounding the dash switch panel.
(NOTE: EACH UNIT MAY DIFFER FOR SCREW PLACEMENT.)

(NOTE: EACH UNIT MAY DIFFER FOR SCREW PLACEMENT)

STEP #2 Pull switch panel out of dash.
(BE CAREFUL NOT TO PULL ANY WIRE CONNECTIONS APART.)

STEP #3 Locate the Large LIFT DOOR AJAR light.
(NOTE: THE LIFT DOOR AJAR LIGHT IS WIRED WITH
ORANGE AND RED WIRES.)

STEP #4 Locate the Red wire on the lift door ajar light. This wire is daisy chained to all of
the switches and labled 06 R. This is the accessory circuit that the gateway is back
feeding to the panel on.

STEP #5 Disconnect the Red wire (06 R) from the Lift Door Ajar light, this is where the
diode will be inserted.
(NOTE: I HAVE PREPINNED THE DIODES IN ORDER TO PREVENT
ACCIDENTALLY INSTALLING BACKWARDS.)

STEP #6 Install diode.
(NOTICE THAT THE LINE ON THE DIODE IS TOWARD THE LIGHT, THIS
WILL ALLOW THE CURRENT TO TRAVEL THROUGH THE RED (06 R)
WIRE TO THE LIGHT, BUT WILL NOT ALLOW THE CURRENT TO
BACKFEED THROUGH THE DIODE UPON SYSTEM SHUT DOWN.)

STEP #7 Test the circuit to verify repair, this can be done by having the battery disconnect
on, key off, all of the dash switches in the off position, and the entrance door closed.
Verify there are no lights illuminated at the electrical panel, in addition to making sure
the DVR is not running. Red power light should be seen without the ignition light being
active at DVR.

STEP #8 Tuck all wiring gently back into the dash and reinstall the dash switch panel.
Place screws back into existing holes being careful not to over torque causing holes to
strip.

THE JOB TASK OF INSTALLING THE DIODE IS NOW COMPLETE!
