This is to revise and replace Campaign 1763-B, dated 26-Apr-2016. This revision is to:
1. Add clarifying narrative.
If additional information is required, contact your Cummins Warranty Operations Group
Leader.

Description
NOTE: The lubricating oil thermostat plug MUST be inspected prior to starting this
repair. If the plug does NOT have a groove as shown in TSB160018, do NOT perform this
Campaign.
This In-Shop Campaign is being issued to address o-ring leaks in certain ISX/QSX CM2250,
CM2250 SN, CM2350 Lube Cooler Housings resulting from suspect o-ring material. Certified
repair locations are authorized to replace the o-rings on the lube oil cooler housing. This InShop Campaign can be completed anytime the unit is in for maintenance or repairs, with
certain restrictions on reimbursement.

NOTE: There are two ESN Listings supporting this In-Shop Campaign. Engines listed on
ESN List B have already received a new lube oil thermostat plug o-ring on a previous
repair and are authorized to replace only the remaining o-rings.

Action
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1. will be covered In the Base Engine Warranty period, CAP coverage period or Emissions
coverage period, and
2. must be on the attached ESN list, and
3. must have grooved plugs on the lube oil cooler housing as shown in TSB160018.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
1. Verify the ESN repair direction.
a. Engines listed on ESN List A are authorized to replace all seven (7) o-rings. A small
percentage of engines will require an 8th o-ring. Please refer to TSB160018 on
QSOL.
b. Engines listed on ESN List B have already received a new lube oil thermostat plug
o-ring on a previous repair and are authorized to replace only the remaining orings.
2. If replacing the lube oil thermostat plug o-ring, loosen the threaded plug by hitting the
plug with a brass punch. Where the installation allows, this should be done in a forward
angle, rather than a 90 degree angle to the plug, this will help to prevent the punch from
slipping. Please see Figure A in TSB160018.
3. Replace the o-rings indicated in TSB160018 using service tool PN 5394435 where
applicable. Please refer to TSB160018 on QSOL.
4. Using a highly visible paint marker, Mark an "X" on the lube cooler housing next to each
fitting where the o-ring was replaced to indicate completion of the Campaign
5. File one claim for only the parts and SRTs listed in this Campaign.

Material Disposition
Materials removed as a result of this field action must be scrapped.

NOTE: This In-Shop Campaign does not reimburse for any SRTs except those that are
listed. All SRTs listed are OPTIONAL. It is recommended, but not required, that this
Field Action be performed as part of another Cummins warrantable repair event to allow
reimbursement for charges such as travel, admin, troubleshooting or access issues that
are outside the scope of this document.







SRT 99-902 (QTY 3) should be claimed if using tool PN 5394435 to access the Lube Oil
Thermostat plug when obstructed by the refrigerant compressor bracket.
SRT 07-127 should be claimed if replacing the Lube Oil Thermostat O-ring.
SRT 22-101 (QTY 2) should be claimed if replacing 6 O-rings in addition to the Lube Oil
Thermostat O-ring (for a total of 7 O-rings).
SRT 22-101 (QTY 3) should be claimed if replacing 7 O-rings in addition to the Lube Oil
Thermostat O-ring on engines that require the additional O-ring PN 3678912 that is not
included in the kit (for a total of 8 O-rings).
